The Letchworth Satchel is a versatile and robust leather bag, with classical attache case or briefcase styling.

The Letchworth Satchel is ideal for a well groomed gent, but appeals to anyone wanting a leather case of exceptional quality.

Designed and made in England this satchel by mastercraftsman Johny Todd is robust and versatile. It will hold up to a 15" laptop and has a durable & comfortable leather handle.

The detachable leather strap, which is made entirely from leather, enables the bag to be worn over the shoulder or across the body. (This is a superior version than that shown in images)

Drawing inspiration from: a time growing up in the First Garden City; an old leather briefcase owned by his father; and childhood visits to his father's and grandfather's shops, Johny designed The Letchworth Satchel in either a standard or a deluxe version.

There are 3 versions of this bag: the Standard, the Deluxe and the Superior Deluxe.

The standard version is unlined and comprises a large single inner space, a smaller compartment located at the front of the bag and a key ring/snap-hook inside.

The Deluxe version utilises soft pigskin suede throughout. The suede lining is available in a range of colours (Poppy, Sunflower, Tangerine, Tan, Cacao, Azure, Navy, Fuchsia, Plum, Purple, Black, Emerald, Grey & Teal) and also has a slim compartment/pocket on the inside of the front panel.

The Superior Deluxe version, like the Deluxe is lined in suede and has a slim compartment/pocket on the inside of the front panel, but also has a slim internal compartment on the internal back surface of the bag, suitable for a slim laptop (such as a mackbook pro). More compartments than this would require a conversation to assertain the idea, but more than the x2 compartments/pockets of the Superior Deluxe will increase both the front-to-back dimensions - from 10cm to approx 15cm - and the total cost of the Superior Deluxe - POA.

The leather colours currently available for both versions are: Chestnut, Hazel, Black, Ochre, Mid-Green, Yew green, Navy Blue, Lichen grey or Red.

Leather side panels can be either a secondary complimentary colour or matching the main body. If you have a specific colour preference enquiry, please check with us prior to ordering.

The Letchworth Satchel can be personalised with a name or monogram and any other embossing into the leather can be fully customisable.

NB: As a fully handmade to order bag, the approximate lead time to make any version of the Letchworth Satchel is at least 4 weeks (wait lists can increase for this item depending on the time of year).

Made from: Saddlery leather; limited edition metal fittings exclusive to Johny Todd; an adjustable strong leather strap and leather side panel. This is a bag for the person looking for originality, durable master-craftsmanship, exclusive contemporary design and bespoke customer collaboration.

Bridle buckles are used as standard on all Letchworth satchels.

All parts of the bag can be treated occasionally with a spray on nano-protector leather and suede product.

Leather and suede - NB: As an organic material leather has unique features and textures. Our leather is a high quality 'top surface' leather and although we have very high standards when it comes to sourcing the leather, your item may have variations of texture & tone from the images shown.
