PLEASE NOTE: any discounted workshop sessions are for the specific date stated, are not transferable and are non-refundable.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

All workshops need to be booked in advance and payment is taken at the time of booking.

NB: extensive use of stitching, needles and thread during this activity will require a good level of hand fuctionality and mobility. If you have issues with grip or are unable to stand unaided, please contact us to check your likely accessibility for the sessions.

Most workshop sessions we offer will last until after lunchtime, at which time we take a break of around 30 minutes - and so you are welcome to bring a packed lunch. There are also several food venues or supermarkets located within a 5 minute walk near to the studio. Please note that the consumption of hot food within the workshop space is not allowed, but there is a 1st floor lounge area with Tea, coffee and microwave facilities at the studios (accessible by stairs) that you are welcome to utilise.

PARKING: There is no parking on site, but free all day 'on-road' parking is nearby (5-10 min walk), or paid car parks (5 min walk or less) even nearer. There are disabled parking bays very near, but this is on a first-come basis only and will be subject to stated on-road time restrictions.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: Our workshop experiences are aimed at adults and those over 18yrs - as is the physical workshop environment of Johny Todd too - it is not suitable for Children. We may sometimes be able to accommodate people from 14ys+ for specific activities, but this is available via private group booking only, and in these cases each person below 18yrs needs to be accompanied (ratio: 1 to 1) by a full paying responsible adult, usually part of a 'family group'.

NB: all regular workshop sessions are usually attended by a mix of people from around the UK who will be unknown to you and us.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

For your safety and comfort, suitable clothing must be worn when attending our workshops. As this is a busy, fully operational studio environment where machinery and hand tools may be in use, we recommend sturdy, flat shoes or boots. Although we have not experienced incidents involving dropped items, lightweight footwear such as canvas shoes, as well as stilettos or high heels, are unsuitable and strongly discouraged. If you choose to wear such footwear, you do so at your own risk. Footwear must be worn at all times. Toe-capped shoes are not required but may be worn if preferred.

Open-toe shoes or sandals of any kind are strictly prohibited. Participants wearing open-toe footwear will not be permitted to take part. Any rebooking will incur a minimum £15.00 administrative fee.

Long hair must be securely tied back. Loose or flowing clothing is not permitted, as it may present a safety risk when using equipment. Aprons are available on request. Please note you are entering a working studio where tools such as knives, needles, and machinery are used. A safety briefing will be provided at the start of the session and must be followed at all times. All decisions regarding the suitability of clothing and conduct remain at the sole discretion of Johny Todd Ltd.

Workshops are run during a single day or over several evening sessions (recomended for more locally based participants). If you are interested in a particular workshop, but either cannot make our advertised dates, or wish to book a specific date, please email contact@johnytodd.com to enquire.
